The AP News Wire reports that 5,000 new oil and gas drilling sites have been approved in Eastern Wyoming. The sites are located between Glenrock and Douglas and will involve five national oil and gas companies.  The AP reports that the drilling work will be year round and last for 10 years.  In addition, the wells are expect to produce for 30 years.  The forty years of drilling and maintenance of the wells is predicted to create more than 8,000 jobs and generate between $18B-$28B in revenue.  This type of job creation and revenue generation will help many in our Wyoming community with long term employment in good paying jobs.  Wyoming is becoming a destination for many people and those who currently own homes in Wyoming will benefit from the increased value of their homes.
